Two hundred bones and counting
The SKELETON gives the body its shape and protects what's inside, and this puzzle gathers its bones. You'll be finding the big ones β the SKULL and CRANIUM that guard the brain, the SPINE and BACKBONE made of VERTEBRAE, the RIBCAGE and RIBS around the heart and lungs, and the thigh-bone FEMUR, the largest of all.
Because every new puzzle reshuffles the body, no two skeleton word searches are the same. One round a backwards CARTILAGE hides in a corner; the next a diagonal COLLARBONE appears across the middle.
From skull to toe
The skeleton is full of named bones and clever parts, and they're here. Find the JAW, the SHOULDER and COLLARBONE, the STERNUM in the chest, the PELVIS and KNEECAP, the shin-bone TIBIA, and the KNUCKLE in each hand. Bones meet at a JOINT cushioned by CARTILAGE, are filled with MARROW that makes blood, and stay strong thanks to CALCIUM.
It's a great fit for a science topic on the human body. Tracking down V-E-R-T-E-B-R-A-E turns spelling practice into a biology lesson.
How to play
Drag across a word, or click its first and last letter β both work. Each word you spot locks in with its own colour and ticks off the list, so you always know what's left to find.
