A new word search, every single day
Welcome to your daily word search — a fresh puzzle waiting for you each and every day of the week. There's nothing to install and nothing to sign up for: just open the page, pick today's grid, and start hunting for hidden words. It's the kind of small, satisfying ritual that pairs perfectly with a morning coffee or a quiet five minutes before bed.
Best of all, today's puzzle is the same for everyone. The grid is generated from the date itself, so the friend across the country and the class across the hall are all solving the very same word search. Compare your times, race a sibling, or simply enjoy knowing thousands of other people are puzzling over the same letters as you.
How the daily word search works
Above the grid you'll find a button for every day of the week, Monday through Sunday. They unlock as the week goes on:
- On Monday, Monday's puzzle is ready to play.
- On Tuesday, you can play both Monday's and Tuesday's.
- By Sunday, all seven of the week's puzzles are open.
Days still to come are gently locked until they arrive — a little something to look forward to. Miss a day? No problem: catch up on any earlier puzzle from the current week whenever you like. When a new week begins, a fresh set of seven daily word searches takes their place.
Play your way: easy, medium or hard
A daily habit should fit you, not the other way around, so every day's puzzle comes in three flavours. Easy keeps the grid small and the words running only across and down — gentle, quick and great for younger solvers. Medium grows the grid and adds diagonals. Hard brings the full challenge: a large grid using every direction, with words that can run backwards. Pick the level that suits your mood; the puzzle stays fair and solvable at every setting.
Why do a word search every day?
A daily word search is a lovely little brain-warm-up. Scanning rows and columns for hidden words sharpens your focus and pattern-spotting, nudges your spelling and vocabulary, and gives your eyes a calm, screen-light task that isn't doomscrolling. Teachers use one as a settling activity to start the day; parents use it to ease kids into reading; and plenty of solvers simply love the unhurried, meditative rhythm of finding word after word. Five quiet minutes, every day — it adds up.

Frequently asked questions
Is the daily word search free?
Completely free — no account, no sign-up and no watermark. Play today's puzzle in your browser, print it, or download it as a PDF, all at no cost. A new puzzle arrives every single day.
Is everyone playing the same daily puzzle?
Yes. Each day's word search is built from that day's date, so the grid is identical for every player around the world — perfect for comparing times with friends or running it in a classroom. Switching difficulty changes the layout, but everyone on the same level sees the same puzzle.
How do the day buttons work?
Each weekday unlocks on its day. On Monday you can play Monday's puzzle; on Tuesday, Monday's and Tuesday's; and by Sunday all seven days of the week are open. Days later in the week stay locked until they arrive, so there's always something new to look forward to.
Can I make the daily word search easier or harder?
Yes — pick Easy, Medium or Hard at any time. Easy is a small grid with words running only across and down; Medium adds diagonals; Hard is a big grid that uses every direction, including backwards words.
Does it track the puzzles I've completed?
Yes — finish a day's puzzle and a tick appears on that day's button. There are three ticks up for grabs each day, one for completing it on Easy, Medium and Hard, so you can aim for all three. Your ticks are saved on your device, and a fresh set is waiting at the start of each new week. (Only genuine completions count — using Solve won't tick the box.)
Can I print the daily word search?
Definitely. Hit Print for a quick paper copy, or Download puzzle to save a clean PDF with an answer key. Want a puzzle on your own theme instead? Build one on the Make Your Own Word Search page and print that too.
