Great cities of the world
Beyond the capitals, the world is full of famous cities, and this word search gathers them. You'll track down the global giants β SHANGHAI, MUMBAI, ISTANBUL and DUBAI β alongside iconic spots like Italy's VENICE and Australia's SYDNEY.
Each puzzle pulls a fresh selection from the list, so the map changes every time you play β gentle on Easy, and a Hard-mode world tour once the diagonals and backwards words appear.
From every continent
These cities span the globe. Cross North America with TORONTO, CHICAGO, BOSTON and VANCOUVER, tour Europe through MUNICH, MILAN, FLORENCE, HAMBURG and GENEVA, and travel further afield to Japan's OSAKA and KYOTO, New Zealand's AUCKLAND and Morocco's MARRAKECH.
Famous for something all their own
A city is a large town where huge numbers of people live and work β and the biggest, like SHANGHAI and MUMBAI, are 'megacities' home to tens of millions. What makes these places special is that each is famous for something of its own: VENICE for its canals instead of roads, DUBAI for its record-breaking skyscrapers, KYOTO for its ancient temples, and BARCELONA for its wild, wavy architecture.
Not one of the cities in this puzzle is its country's capital β they've earned their fame through trade, history, beauty or sheer size. That makes World Cities a perfect companion to our separate Capital Cities puzzle.
