Europe packs dozens of countries into one continent, and this word search gathers them. You'll track down the big names — FRANCE, GERMANY, SPAIN, ITALY and GREECE — alongside the Iberian PORTUGAL and the central European POLAND, AUSTRIA and HUNGARY.

From the Nordics to the Balkans
Europe stretches from the frozen north to the sunny south. Travel the Nordics with SWEDEN, NORWAY, DENMARK and FINLAND, cross to the island of IRELAND, and head south-east through the Balkans — CROATIA, ROMANIA, SERBIA, BULGARIA and ALBANIA. We've tucked in BELGIUM, SLOVAKIA and ESTONIA too.
A small continent, a lot of countries
Europe is the second-smallest continent by area, yet it's home to around 44 countries — more packed into one place than almost anywhere else. That's part of what makes it so varied: in a short journey you can pass through several nations, each with its own language, currency, food and flag.
Geographers often group them by region: the warm Mediterranean south (SPAIN, ITALY, GREECE, PORTUGAL), the chilly Nordic north (SWEDEN, NORWAY, FINLAND, DENMARK), the central heart (GERMANY, POLAND, AUSTRIA, HUNGARY) and the south-eastern Balkans (CROATIA, SERBIA, ROMANIA, ALBANIA). Most are also linked through the European Union.
