The rivalry reignites
Cobra Kai picked up the Karate Kid story decades later, and this word search gathers its world. You'll start with old rivals DANIEL LARUSSO and JOHNNY LAWRENCE, now teaching a new generation, plus the menacing return of sensei KREESE.
Each puzzle pulls a fresh mix from the list, so the dojo is rearranged every time you play β gentle on Easy, and a Hard-mode bout once the diagonals and backwards words appear.
Students, senseis and the dojo
The next generation is here too. Track down students MIGUEL, ROBBY, SAMANTHA, TORY, HAWK, DEMETRI and AISHA, the wisdom of Mr MIYAGI, and the rival DOJO itself, COBRA KAI. There's the all-important TOURNAMENT in the San Fernando VALLEY, the lesson of MERCY (or no mercy), the order to STRIKE first, and that famous CRANE KICK.
A sequel decades in the making
Cobra Kai is a direct sequel to the hit 1984 film The Karate Kid, catching up with its characters more than thirty years later. It cleverly flips the original story, asking us to see the 'villain' Johnny Lawrence as a flawed underdog while the once-plucky Daniel LaRusso has become a successful, slightly smug adult.
The series first launched on YouTube's subscription service in 2018 before moving to Netflix, where it found a huge new audience. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka returned to their original roles, balancing nostalgic callbacks β the All Valley tournament, Mr Miyagi's teachings β with a fresh teen cast and plenty of karate-fuelled drama.
A kick for young karate fans
The high-flying karate action makes this a favourite with younger fans β Easy mode keeps the grid small with no diagonals or reverse words. Play online, print a PDF pack for a party, or use our Make Your Own tool to build a grid from your own favourite senseis, students and dojos.
