The designers of great buildings
Every famous building started as an idea in an architect's mind, and this puzzle gathers many of them. You'll be finding the dream-like GAUDI, the modern masters WRIGHT, GEHRY and HADID, and the British greats FOSTER, ROGERS and WREN.
Because every new puzzle reshuffles the blueprints, no two architects word searches are the same. One round a backwards CALATRAVA hides in a corner; the next a diagonal LIBESKIND stretches across the grid.
Shaping skylines around the world
From cathedrals to skyscrapers, the words are here. There's PEI of the glass pyramid, CORBUSIER and MIES of the modern movement, UTZON of the Sydney Opera House, and NIEMEYER, AALTO, SAARINEN, PIANO, STIRLING and PALLADIO. We use surnames to keep most words short and Easy mode playable, though a few like CALATRAVA run longer β a nice challenge for older students who already know the name.
It's a great fit for a design, history or buildings topic. Tracking down P-A-L-L-A-D-I-O turns spelling practice into a tour of great buildings.
How to play
Drag across a word, or click its first and last letter β both work. Each name you find locks in with its own highlight and ticks off the list, so you always know who's left to find.
