From a lump of clay to a finished pot
There are lots of ways to make a pot, and the words are here. You can PINCH a pot by hand, build one from a long COIL, or SPIN and SHAPE it on the WHEEL. Potters use SLIP (runny clay) to join pieces, SMOOTH the surface, add a HANDLE, and SCULPT or MOULD the clay into a MUG, BOWL or VASE. After a trip to the kiln, the soft clay becomes hard CERAMIC and sturdy EARTHENWARE — all made in the potter's STUDIO.
