It takes a whole team to turn a plan into a building, and this word search gathers their jobs. You'll be finding the ARCHITECT who draws the BLUEPRINT, the SURVEYOR who measures the SITE, the FOREMAN who runs the crew, and the BUILDER who puts it all together.
Each puzzle pulls a fresh selection from the list, so the crew changes every time you play — gentle on Easy, and a bigger job once the diagonals and backwards words appear on Hard.
On the building site
Every trade plays its part, and the words are here. The BRICKLAYER lays the walls with CEMENT and a TROWEL, the PLASTERER smooths them over, and the ROOFER finishes the top. The WELDER joins the steel, the GLAZIER fits the glass, and the crane OPERATOR lifts heavy loads high overhead. A LABORER fetches and carries, a SCAFFOLDER builds the platforms, and the ENGINEER and INSPECTOR make sure it's all safe — everyone in a HARDHAT, with a DRILL and a LADDER never far away.
From a drawing to a finished building
A building starts life long before anyone picks up a TROWEL. First the ARCHITECT designs it and draws the BLUEPRINT — the detailed plan everyone works from — and the SURVEYOR measures the SITE precisely so it's built in exactly the right place. Only then does construction begin, run on the ground by the FOREMAN, who organises the crew and keeps the job on schedule. Getting the order right matters: foundations before walls, walls before the ROOFER tops it off.
Safety is the golden rule of every SITE, which is why the HARDHAT is the symbol of the whole industry — it protects against falling tools and bumps, and high-up workers clip on harnesses while the SCAFFOLDER builds safe platforms to work from. An ENGINEER checks the structure will stand and an INSPECTOR signs off that it's safe to use. It's a brilliant example of teamwork, planning and maths in action, which makes construction jobs a strong, hands-on topic for a careers or building lesson.
