An airport runs around the clock thanks to a huge team, and this word search gathers their jobs. For every plane you see take off, dozens of people you never meet have done their jobs perfectly. The most important may be the air traffic CONTROLLER, sitting in the tall tower with radar screens, who keeps planes a safe distance apart and guides each one onto the RUNWAY — a job so demanding that controllers take regular breaks to stay sharp, because a single mistake matters. Down on the ground, a MARSHAL guides a 200-tonne jet to its exact GATE spot using just two bright wands.
Speed matters more than you'd think. A 'turnaround' — emptying a plane, cleaning the CABIN, unloading and reloading the BAGGAGE, refuelling and reboarding — can happen in under an hour, with the BAGGAGE crew, REFUELER, CLEANER and CHECKIN staff all working at once like a pit stop. Meanwhile SECURITY and CUSTOMS keep everyone safe, and the ENGINEER and MECHANIC check the aircraft between flights.
