Everything at the table
Mealtimes are full of words little ones use every day, and this word search gathers them. You'll be finding the things on the TABLE — a PLATE, BOWL, CUP and SPOON — plus the meals themselves: BREAKFAST, LUNCH and DINNER.

Most of us eat three main meals a day — BREAKFAST to start, LUNCH in the middle and DINNER in the evening — with a SNACK to keep us going. The word BREAKFAST is a lovely clue in itself: it means 'breaking the fast', because it's the first food after a long night's sleep, which is why people call it the most important meal of the day. Learning these words helps a child talk about their day and what comes next.
Setting the table is a sneaky early lesson, too. Knowing that the FORK goes on one side, the KNIFE and SPOON on the other, the PLATE in the middle and a NAPKIN tucked alongside is a real bit of sorting, counting and 'matching one each'.
